Entry #5: Arizona needs more graduates

 ARIZONA NEEDS MORE GRADS! OR DO THEY?

Hi there again today I am here to talk about an article that governor Ducey wrote about Arizona needing more college graduates. In the article LINK he explains that education leads to more opportunity. From a student perspective I agree because it's giving me the biggest opportunity of my lifetime to work for the UFC as a public relations specialist. However, some things in life don't require education to turn into a career. My mom has been with her company for 30 years and lives an amazing life. I watched my mom work her tail off to get to this point and I can truly say as a child I had everything I could want or at least need because of my moms hard work. Not everyone can afford college either and don't get enough in student loans or aid to complete school so they never go for it because they know they can't finish.

On another note I disagree especially in a state like Arizona that has so many needs for tradesman who get paid the same if not more than college grads. How hot does it get here in Arizona? BLAZING. So we are always in a need for A/C guys. We always are going to need plumbing with how fast we are growing and we will always need carpenters because houses are mysteriously going up faster than we can build them. You don't always need school to do a trade because most trades work is hands on but lets say you do need school the best part is the company you land with will usually pay for it! Due to the high demand in trades if you are a hands on type of person and want to make a great living for not only yourself but your family this is easily the way to go. 

All in all whether you choose school, trade or start your own company there is always going to be an opportunity it comes down to what you do with it when it presents itself. Hope to see you back for my next blog.
